un Commission on science and technology for development
Emily Wilborn is a sophomore from Rochester, New York studying mechanical engineering with a premedical focus. This summer she is participating in a summer service learning project at Kimberly Home Pregnancy Center in Clearwater, Florida. Outside of Model UN, Emily participates in the women’s boxing club, Baraka Bouts, and competes with the club golf team. She is excited to return to MUN after taking her first year of college off and hopes to create a truly enjoyable and comprehensive experience for all delegates!
Shannon Steines is a sophomore double majoring in Biological Sciences and Spanish with premed intent. She is from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and competed in Model UN and congressional debate all four years of high school. She worked on the crisis staff last year at NDMUN III, and is very excited to be co-chairing the UNCTAD. She also has a strong passion for development needs and spent a week in Panama over spring break last year working with in-country engineers and doctors on their sustainability management goals for rural indigenous populations. When she’s not prepping for NDMUN, you can find her playing interhall football and soccer, working with the student coalition for immigration advocacy, or drinking five times her weight in Starbucks iced coffee. She cannot wait to meet you all when you arrive on campus!
